Riding

The people who know me will know that there are two main things that i do. One of them is Horse riding. i go riding on a friday at kingsweston riding stables. The best horse in the world is Barney. he is bay and 13.2". A frind on mine ( not nameing names..) doesnt see the point in riding... but she sees the point in climbing up and down a wall every week! I think riding is one of the best things that you could ever do.

  1. I totally agree with your friend I'm afraid! I LOVE climbing but cant see the point in sitting on a horse and walking round in circles. But each to there own and all that!

  2. Yeah, but you dont just walk round in circles. there is so much you can do riding. Walking, trotting, cantering, galloping, serpentines, leg yeilding, turns on the forhand, show jumping, cross country, dressage, grooming, flying changes, hacks... need i go on?? To be honest i think you are being a little narrow minded! x

  3. Well, I love riding, personally, but I see what thegirlwiththeglasses means Milz. You see, for me it is vice verse. I heart riding, but I don't understand why scaring myself to death climing 50m up into the air is considered fun. If I could change myself though, I would really love climbing. How did the geog test go? did you have it in the end?

  5. yes but as u said with riding, there is so much more to climbing than going up and down a wall! Its about planning ur nxt manoeuvre, pushing yourself to reach that next hold, however small or far away it is. Its about the incredible feeling when you have reached the top of 6B+ overhang with rolls and holds as small as minnows which you never thought you would complete. Not to mention the knots and the belays and the trust you have to have in your partner, along with many other things! So we are both narrow minded!!!
